Rycote's InVision miniature microphone suspension range is the ideal solution to isolating small to medium length cylindrical microphones. They truly are THE answer in performance and size for the vast selection of small diaphragm microphones. The InVision suspensions all use Rycote’s patented "Lyre" suspension clips, a revolutionary non-elastic microphone suspension. The special design shape of the clips allows for a specific compliance to the microphone, and thus prevents handling noise and vibrations from reaching the capsule. This Lyre design, used across our entire range of products thus gives unparalleled isolation for cylindrical axial microphones.

The Lyre suspension uses no rubber or elastic components to isolate the microphone from unwanted shocks and handling noises. The performance specification of these suspensions far exceeds any elastic or rubber shock mount or suspension. Rycote’s Lyres are unaffected by temperature, do not deteriorate and are virtually unbreakable - The operating temperature of InVision Shockmounts is from -35 Celsius to over 100 Celsius!

They can be used for a wide range of ‘compact’ microphone series, ‘remote capsule’ systems and short to medium bodied small-diaphragm and shotgun microphones. The InVision range retains all the flexibility, balance and professional performance that you can expect from a Rycote microphone suspension

The InVision Suspension Series is designed for studio, installed sound as well as boom cueing with certain models, however does not have the ability to be enclosed within a windshield. Foam windscreens can be used on all as well as Softies with short shotguns on the INV-7 through INV-10.

We have received many comments that some condenser microphones are so extremely sensitive that a Rycote Lyre-based Shockmount is the only mount that will properly isolate them. Lyres can be removed from the bar and interchanged with the other available Lyres to suit your individual requirements. Each particular Lyre can be purchased separately. All InVision models incorporate an integral cable clamp for securing the mic cable and further isolating the microphone.
